Welcome to the Murder mystery book page.

We all share in the book selection process, with the aim being to read a range of books, often by authors with whom we are unfamiliar.

The discussion each month, looks at how we liked the selected book, and why or not.

Were the characters believable and did it matter?

Were we fully engaged with the story and able to follow the twists and turns, the mark of successful story telling.

We have read such books as 'If I die before I wake  by Emily Koch to 'Mermaids singing' by Val Mcdermid.

Sophie Hannah's 'Monogram Murders' to Jacqueline Windspeare's 'Maisie Dobbs'.

While few selections have achieved universal approval,  we have often, individually,  discovered a new favourite author.

If you don't wish to join us, feel free to follow the books selected by checking the latest choice in the monthly newsletter.

Happy Reading

We meet on the third Monday of the month, usually in a coffee shop, over tea and cake.
